We invite you to consider joining this discussion based study of the Showings of Julian of Norwich. This book is a classic of the Christian tradition and notable for historical, theological and practical reasons; teachings presented are striking for their clarity, simplicity and sublime content. This class/discussion group will introduce participants to the background of Julian of Norwich, the ground-breaking importance of her book and explore the extraordinary depth of theological and spiritual insight in the book.

This class is designed especially for Christians who desire to grow in understanding of how God relates to us, what God’s will and purpose is ultimately for human beings, and how to understand evil and suffering in this mortal life. We will be attentive to both the theological teaching and the practical implications of that teaching for our lives with God. And so consider joining us and taking a swim in the depths of God’s love and grace, learning from the Showings.

The English edition of the Showings we are using for this class is: The Complete Julian of Norwich, Fr. John Julian, OJN (Paraclete Press:2009)
