I am a wife, mother, pharmacist, yoga instructor, Somato Respiratory Integration coach (breath work) and studying to become a spiritual director. My journey began back in 2015 when life circumstances had sent me to become a yoga teacher at the Redemptorist Renewal Center and then on to a codependency 12 step program. I have always been devoted to my Catholic faith in a religious way. But I soon realized through my yoga instructor training and then the 12 step program that there was a difference between religion and spirituality. In 2018, I started teaching yoga to veterans and their families and partnered with the Veterans Yoga Project. The following year, I was asked to assist in teaching Advent and Lenten yoga retreats. Teaching those classes ignited a spark in me and I began to research spiritual direction. I will begin class for spiritual direction in February 2023. “Be still and know that I am God” (psalms 46:10) became the scripture passage I live by.
